Jesus > Old Religion

As we begin the second half of Hebrews, the author wants us to know that Jesus is better than everything and everyone in every way. This week, he wants us to specifically see how Jesus is better and greater than whatever our "old religion" was before we met Christ. Have you ever thought about what your "old religion" was before Christ? We all had them. Our "old religion" could have been "people", or "places", or even "things" that we believed would bring us fulfillment, meaning, identity and satisfaction. This week the author is going to help us see how Jesus is far greater than all of those things. May we not run back to them BUT rather run closer to Jesus and rest more in Him as a result.
